Role Purpose:
CubeSpace (CS) is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and creatively driven Visual Communications Designer to join the Marketing team on a six-month fixed-term contract, reporting to the Senior Creative.
The Visual Communications Designer is responsible for developing engaging, professional and brand-aligned visual communications across CS’s marketing, digital, social media, events and corporate communications.
Working at an intermediate level, the role is expected to independently execute assigned design briefs, translate messaging into effective visual solutions, and deliver high-quality artwork across digital and print formats. The designer works closely with various teams, applies the CS brand consistently, responds constructively to feedback, and takes increasing ownership of projects from brief through to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Visual Design & Brand Execution
Create visual assets across digital, print, social media, marketing and corporate communications.
Translate approved briefs and messaging into clear, effective visual solutions, adapting creative across multiple formats and platforms.
Apply the CubeSpace brand consistently, following established brand guidelines, templates and creative standards.
Maintain consistency in typography, layout, imagery, colour and visual style, escalating brand or creative questions to the Senior Creative or Marketing Lead.
2. Marketing, Campaign & Digital Support
Develop design assets in support of marketing campaigns, product launches, events and communications.
Interpret campaign concepts with the Senior Creative and translate them into visual assets, contributing creative ideas within the agreed creative direction.
Design and correctly format content for social media, websites, email marketing and other digital channels.
3. Events, Corporate Communications & Artwork Production
Create event and exhibition collateral including banners, signage, presentations, advertisements and promotional material, and support internal and external corporate communication requirements.
Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork for digital and print that meets required specifications, dimensions, resolution and technical requirements.
Conduct quality checks before submitting artwork for review or production, and follow established file naming, storage and document-management processes.
4. Project Ownership, Collaboration & Review
Take ownership of assigned design projects from brief through to submission, managing timelines and prioritising work according to agreed deadlines.
Communicate progress, challenges and potential delays to the Senior Creative proactively.
Submit completed work to the Senior Creative for review, respond constructively to feedback and ensure amendments are correctly incorporated before work progresses to the next stage of approval.
Minimum Requirements:
Portfolio of professional design work demonstrating both digital and print delivery (non-negotiable).
Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design or a related field.
4-6 years' professional graphic or visual communications design experience, ideally including in-house or brand-led work.
Strong grounding in typography, layout, composition, hierarchy and colour, with practical digital and print production knowledge.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365; Figma, 3D modelling or CAD (AutoCAD/Revit) exposure advantageous.
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
