CubeSpace
Leave ADCS to the specialists. CubeADCS is a complete turn-key nanosatellite attitude determination and control solution for users aiming to rapidly develop satellites using flight-proven components. These systems combine robust, radiation-tolerant flight computer, flight-proven ADCS algorithms and FDIR mechanisms, and our wide range of our sensors and actuators.

CubeSpace offers two bundles of CubeADCS: Y-Momentum and 3-Axis. See more details below. Both have a strong flight heritage and builds on CubeSpace's years of experience in the industry.
Our 3-Axis bundle includes three reaction wheels to provide control throughout the entire orbit
Our system is robust, low-power and uses a very compact bundle of hardware components
The system can be upgraded to a variety of levels to provide different pointing abilities for different missions and satellite sizes.
The Y-Momentum bundle is used for missions where a 3-axis stable system is required but the pointing performance requirements are relaxed
CubeSpace offers the CubeADCS in a Y-Momentum form factor. This is an ideal solution for CubeSat missions where the payload's ADCS requirement needs to be approximately 3-Axis stabilized, with the payload pointing nadir or in the flight direction. For CubeSats requiring high accuracy inertial pointing, we offer a 3-Axis variant of our CubeADCS.
CubeADCS Y-Momentum is a compact and low-power ADCS solution for satellites that require nadir pointing, without full 3-Axis tracking. It uses a single reaction wheel placed in the orbit normal direction. The wheel is biased to an offset speed to provide gyroscopic stiffness to the satellite, and magnetorquers are used to control the orientation of the satellite to stay nadir pointing. The base system can be upgraded with larger wheels for larger satellites, and a variety of sensors can be selected as part of the system, depending on the mission requirements.
CubeADCS 3-Axis uses three reaction wheels, one in each principal axis of the satellite, to do full 3-axis pointing and tracking. A variety of CubeSpace sensors can be integrated with the system depending on the nominal mission control modes, and on the pointing accuracy required. Actuators can be scaled for satellites up to roughly 16U. The system includes features such as TLM logging, sensor and actuator power control and FDIR, communication bus monitoring, SGP4 orbit propagation, as well as estimator and control algorithms for virtually all ADCS control modes.
The following modes are available in the default bundle: (1) Detumble the satellite and bring it to a controlled spin using the magnetorquers, (2) Stabilize the attitude in the orbit using a combination of the momentum wheel and magnetorquers, and (3) Perform pitch manoeuvres within the orbital plane by controlling the momentum wheel’s speed.
