Role Overview:
CubeSpace is looking for a multidisciplinary Electronic Engineer to take full technical ownership of one or more products within our satellite control and aerospace portfolio.
This role sits at the heart of product development. You will act as design authority, owning electronic hardware, low-level firmware, and the end-to-end product lifecycle - from early concept through qualification and delivery.
The ideal candidate is technically deep in electronic and embedded systems design, comfortable working across disciplines, and thrives in an environment where quality, accountability, and technical excellence are non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as design authority and product owner for assigned electronic products, taking full responsibility for all design aspects and technical decisions.
Perform electronic hardware design and initial embedded firmware development, maintaining an intimate understanding of the product’s low-level behaviour and architecture.
Drive the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through PDR, CDR, QR, and delivery of a complete, compliant product data pack.
Collaborate closely with Electronic, Systems Engineering, Software, Mechanical, Project Management, and Environmental Qualification teams to ensure successful product delivery.
Support and participate in qualification and environmental testing, validating outputs against project and customer requirements.
Develop, maintain, and control product documentation, including ICDs, user manuals, and supporting technical artefacts.
Provide technical support to Client Support, assisting with customer queries when required.
Support Production and Test teams through training, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of technical issues.
Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies where beneficial to product performance, reliability, or manufacturability.
Uphold aerospace-grade standards where precision, traceability, and quality are critical at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
B.Eng in Electronic Engineering (M.Eng will be advantageous)
2-5+ years’ professional experience in embedded systems and electronic product design
Proven expertise in: Schematic capture; PCB layout (Altium); Embedded firmware development (C) and Test jigs and test scripting
Strong knowledge of power system design
